Greeting from the Assessor Bianchi

It is a great pleasure, in the year when Genova is the European Capital
of Sport, to be able to host in our city the second round of the
Orienteering World Cup. An event that will pave the way for the upcoming
World Championships in our city in 2026.

These will be two unique occasions that will allow us to continue
promoting the image of our territory with all its beauty and excellence;
events capable of combining the sporting-competitive aspect with the
touristic one.

The city is ready to become the stage for a discipline that, in a very
short time, has managed to engage thousands of enthusiasts worldwide.
Togetherness, accessibility, sustainability: these are the values of
orienteering that we are happy to support during these important events
and throughout the year in which Genova will be the European Capital of
Sport.

I am looking forward to welcoming athletes, support teams, families, and
all enthusiasts to Genova.
