In the time when mobile navigator has become essential tool for getting around, participation in orienteering represents a return to normality which reminds us the importance to stay human in the presence of technology, without to be addicted to it. About purely sporting point of view, orienteering is the practice that most teaches us to go not fast but better: creativity, intelligence and no stress. A sport that finds its exaltation in the woods but also in Old Town, far from the modernity of business skyscrapers and new cities. Liguria allows you to combine technical aspects that are always demanding and continually different alongside historical and landscape riches. For these reasons I think that Liguria, with its seaside mountains, wonderful landscapes and many small ancient villages, could be the perfect place to host the World Cup and the World Orienteering Championships in this discipline.
