On this day, we had the 2nd press conference of OWC 2024 & WOC 2026 which took place in the Town Hall of Genoa, precisely in palazzo Tursi. The event was realised thanks to the Minister for Sport and Youths through the contribution of the Department for Sport - Presidency of the Council of Ministers and included in the calendar of Genoa 2024 European Capital of Sport, thanks to the Municipality of Genoa and thanks to the contribution of the Liguria Region.
At the conference were: Gianluca Carbone, Event Director, - Antonio Micillo, President of C. O.N.I. Liguria - Alessandra Bianchi, Councillor for Sport of the Liguria Region and Enrico Carmagnani, Marketing Manager and President of C.S.I. Centro Sportivo Italiano of Genoa. The 30 national teams that are going to participate to the OWC 2024 from 31st May to 2nd June are already in Liguria, and they are visiting and "testing" all the magnificent towns and villages such as Savona, Recco and Camogli since 27th May due to the Training camp that goes from 27th May to 30th May. The staff of the 30 national teams will have their own uniform. All the people present during the press conference thanked all the 50 technicians that are working to the event and the Diocese of Genoa that provides board and lodging for the staff and athlets. The collaboration of around 150 technicians from other Italian regions was essential for the marking of the routes, the management of arrivals and departures, and the secretariat. Merchandising and uniforms for the staff created by Chesterton, a partner of the committee, were presented, and tomorrow we are activating the shop, 'so as to bring those who want to participate even from a far closer'.
